FOSS R&D @ NIMK
Below is a list of projects developed in our Artlab, including the open source software employed in setup, activities and workshops.
We build and mantain open source software for our ad-hoc hardware solutions, while it is all freely published so that anyone can benefit from these development. The software is made available according to the GNU General Public License.
dyne:bolic is shaped on the needs of media activists artists and creatives as a practical tool for multimedia production, being easy to employ without installation and supporting old computers. This project is running since December 2001.
The digital video syncstarter software is developed in the Artlab and employed by NIMK in distribution of synced video artworks.
A software instrument for video manipulation used in the fields of dance theatre, veejay, medical visualisation and television broadcast.
